Quickload vs ApexLOAD PRO
Both QuickLOAD and ApexLOAD PRO are internal ballistics calculators that let users compute pressure, case fill ratio, powder conversion, and muzzle velocity for a given load. Both platforms also include extensive databases covering a wide array of calibers, bullets, and powders.
However, QuickLOAD has not issued component or application updates since 2021, which means its database is progressively falling behind. By contrast, ApexLOAD PRO keeps a continuously updated component database. Users can submit requests for new components and feature enhancements, and these requests are actively used by the ApexLOAD PRO community. The status of such requests can be monitored online.
Another significant distinction relates to the application format. QuickLOAD is a legacy desktop application that runs solely on Windows PCs. Installation and operation require a CD-ROM drive, which many current computers no longer include. ApexLOAD PRO, in contrast, is a modern, cloud-based web application accessible from any device equipped with a browser. All data resides in the cloud and can therefore be synchronized and shared across devices.
